Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Quan Ba – Lung Khuy – Nam Dam

7:30 AM: The tour guide greets the group for breakfast and starts the 4-day, 3-night Ha Giang loop tour. Travelers will visit various spots such as:

  • Bac Sum Pass: A 9 km-long pass, a favorite spot for adventurers. From the top, one can see winding roads snaking around the mountain slopes, with a distant view of the majestic landscapes of the Northeast.
  • Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate, Fairy Mountain.

  • Trekking to Lung Khuy Cave: the first cave plateau, a masterpiece bestowed by Mother Nature. You’ll be amazed by the countless colorful stalactites here.

12:30: Lunch in Quan Ba with local specialties.

13:30: Transfer to Nam Dam community-based cultural tourism village. Afterward, proceed with check-in.

After checking in, you’re free to explore the village, visit the museum, and learn about the traditional wall-building techniques of the Dao people, as well as their unique cultural traits. If you’re lucky to visit during a festival, you can participate in the most important ceremony of the Dao people – the coming-of-age ritual – a profound and unique experience.

Additionally, you can join in the traditional herbal bath activity of the Dao people, an integral part of their daily life.

Evening: Participate in cooking with the local Dao people. After dinner, enjoy a cultural exchange performance with the residents. Overnight stay at the homestay.

Day 2: Nam Dam – Lung Cu – Dong Van

07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the homestay. Then, set out on the long road to Lung Cu. Along the way, stop for check-ins at various points:

  • First, visit the Lanh Handicraft Weaving Village in Lung Tam: Learn about the culture of linen weaving of the H’mong people.

  • Solitary Nghien Tree – Can Ty, Quan Ba.
  • Tham Ma Slope: A famous slope when mentioning Ha Giang, winding and twisting. Especially, on top are ethnic minority children carrying flowers on their shoulders, creating an adorable sight.

12:30: Stop for lunch in Pho Cao and continue the Ha Giang Loop journey. The guide will take you to spots like:

  • Chin Khoanh Slope: Admire and take photos at this long and famous slope in Ha Giang.
  • Lung Cam Cultural Village: Visit Pao houses, and take seasonal flower photos in the space considered the most beautiful in the Rocky Plateau.

  • Lung Cu Flagpole: The final destination of the day is Lung Cu Flagpole – the Northernmost Point of the Fatherland. The guide will provide information about its formation history, nation-building, and defense by the Vietnamese people.

Then, head back to Dong Van before sunset, as the road can be more dangerous at night.

Evening: Arrive in Dong Van and check in at the hotel. Relax and have dinner, then visit the Dong Van Old Quarter at night. Stay overnight in Dong Van.

Day 3: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Du Gia

07:30: Enjoy breakfast with the famous Banh Cuon Ba Ha in Dong Van, then begin the journey to explore Dong Van towards Du Gia. Your stops include:

  • Dong Van Market: Stroll through Dong Van Old Quarter, Dong Van Old Market – with a history of hundreds of years, visit the Dong Van market to learn about highland market culture (if visiting on weekends).
  • Ancient Thiên Hương Village: The ancient village in Dong Van still preserves the ancient wall houses of the H’Mong people.
  • Ma Pi Leng Pass: is one of the “Four Great Passes of the North”. From above, you can see the winding green Nho Que River.

  • Tu San Canyon – Nho Que River: Board a boat, or kayak on Tu San Canyon. Visit the deepest limestone gorge in Southeast Asia “Tu San Gorge”.

Noon: Have lunch at Tu San Canyon with a million-dollar view. You can also capture photos at this location.
Afternoon: The guide will lead the group back to Du Gia after lunch and rest. This section of the road is quite long, and you will stop at some points such as:

  • The M-shaped Turn: One of the most impressive and beautiful turns in Ha Giang.

  • French Fort Ruins – Duong Thuong: The ancient fort ruins are located on a high, prominent landmass like a tortoise shell amidst the Duong Thuong Valley. From the fort’s peak, you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Duong Thuong Valley.
  • Tien Du Gia Village: a small peaceful village nestled in the valley, here you will experience waterfall bathing, and cool, clear waterfalls pouring down from above.
